A Sunday Brunch Jacket

I saw the Oliver & S Sunday Brunch Jacket somewhere online. It is adorable. I decided to sew up this little coat in size 12 months using some remnants that I had. I actually have a blouse out of the lining fabric, so the Lady and I can match! I also found a hooded version over on Lizzieville, and loved the fabric choice so much, I scoured the internet until I could find a bit. Can't wait to make another!

Nursery Tour!

Welcome to the Nursery Tour! We did what we could with government furniture, and what we could get here (I can't spend my afternoons at some baby store matching everything). A little hodge-podge, but I think it turned out great! Once the crib is here, and changing table set up, it'll really feel like a baby's room. Welcome Baby Z!

Elephants, lights and sparkling tapestries!
T's favorite color, orange! Beautiful elephant wall hanging, lots of jilli milli (sparkly/glittery) for baby to enjoy
Taggy Blocks made from scrap fabric. Soft with bells inside, so they jingle!
The soon-to-be changing area - don't have a pad yet, but will soon
I have loved these since the first time I came to Nepal in 2003, and finally got one!
A gift from Sri Lanka
More elephants for baby to enjoy
This garland was hung at our Nepal baby shower, and goes perfectly in the room
The birch tree decals, homemade bird mobile, and bamboo crib (a full crib will eventually go there)
Bamboo napping crib, with homemade blankies and a stuffed bunny
Bird mobile with Nepali sticks
All the way from Ikea Bangkok, this bookshelf is perfect for books and toys
Gopher Booties! The stacking turtles in the background have squeakers in them
Books and elephants!
Homemade "Book of Colors" made from scrap fabrics. Different textures and color themes on each page
A homemade Boppy nursing pillow sits on the couch, stars from the Nepal baby shower decorations
And that's it! Hope you enjoyed the tour - it was fun to make a lot of the things, and throw together pieces from Nepal!

Angkor Wat, Cambodia

We decided to take a little Babymoon in Cambodia, so we spent a long weekend in Angkor Wat. It was wonderful to come back with T.

Pokhara and Annapurna

January is the perfect time of year to trek in Nepal. The crowds are small, the air is cool, and the mountains are out. Pokhara and the Annapurna mountains are stunning.

Swayambhunath

We had so many visitors in December and January, we got to spend a little time being tourists around the city. I don't know why we don't go out more, but I love spending time at the temples, taking photographs. There was quite a bit of damage at Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and recovery has been slow.
