Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

I made these just after Thanksgiving with a pumpkin from my porch. They are amazing!

1 c. pumpkin, pureed (I used fresh pumpkin, baked at 450 for 30 minutes)
 3/4 c. white sugar
 1/4 c. brown sugar
 7 Tbs. butter, melted
 1 egg, whisked
 2 c. all purpose flour
 2 tsp. baking powder
 1 tsp. cinnamon
 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
 1/2 tsp. salt
 1 tsp. baking soda
 1 tsp. milk
 1 Tbs. vanilla extract
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Puree cooked pumpkin in food processor. I added a little water (less than 1/4 cup) to help smooth the pumpkin.

Add butter, sugar and egg. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, spices and salt. In a small bowl, dissolve baking soda in milk. Add to the pumpkin mixture. Transfer pumpkin mixture into a large bowl (or stand mixer) and slowly add flour, stirring.

Add vanilla, mix. Add chocolate chips and fold in.

Drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet (the cookies will not spread much) and bake for about 15 minutes (cookies will not "golden", so you need to touch them for cooked-ness!). Share and enjoy!.
