Stitch Fix Review #3

WHAT IS STITCH FIX?

Here's my third Stitch Fix review. You can find my first and second reviews here. This is a little different than my regular posts - a newcomer to DC, I needed some nice clothes! I signed up for Stitch Fix (referral link - if you use it, I get $25 in credit!): basically, you fill out a "style" profile, link it to a Pinterest page for clothes that match your style, and wait, semi-patiently.

A box shows up at the doorstep with 5 pieces, hopefully matching your style. It's a personal stylist so I don't have to shop, and there might be pieces that I wouldn't have necessarily grabbed. I have 3 days to decide what I want to keep, and send back what I don't like. They charge a $20 styling fee that gets applied to anything you keep, and if you keep all 5 pieces, you get a 25% discount. Yep. It's pretty straight forward, and fun. And don't forget, if you sign up using my link, I get a $25 credit. (In box #2, my shirt was only $8!)

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

Here's the Box 3 roundup:

41Hawthorn Rowson Colorblock Striped Sweater - $58
41Hawthorn Rowson Colorblock Striped Sweater: I really wanted to love this sweater. I even asked for it on my Pinterest page because I saw it someone else's fix. I love the colors, I love stripes. But when I tried it on, it was just to baggy. It's a style, but doesn't look great on me. Regrettably, sent back.

Liverpool Collen Straight Leg Jean - $78
Liverpool Collen Straight Leg Jean: Maybe I forgot to take it out of my style profile, but Stitch Fix keeps sending me jeans! These were HUGE! Big in the waist, crazy long, baggy. Really strange, because in theory they are my size. Sent back.

Pomelo Colibri Chevron Print Sleeveless Blouse - $44
Pomelo Colibri Chevron Print Sleeveless Blouse: I love the print of this blouse, and I absolutely love the cut. It was comfortable and fit well. The problem? It's hard to tell in the photo (I was having a really hard time with the white balance on this one), but it's really green and yellow. If it were in blues or purples, maybe it would be better. I was just a little too Oakland A's, not enough SF Giants :) I've seen this in blue/purple, so maybe they will send me that! Sent back.

Pomelo Harriet Chevron Print Detail Dress - $64
Pomelo Harriet Chevron Print Detail Dress: Oooh, I like the look of this one! I keep asking Stitch Fix for prints and patterns and shapes, and the blue chevron really caught my eye. The best part? Just this morning I was asking T what I was going to wear to an upcoming summer wedding. When I slipped this beauty on, not only did it fit great, it looked great. The price was right around what I would pay for a dress. Kept!

Bella Boutique Jill Sterling Silver Beads & Vermeil Necklace - $38

Bella Boutique Jill Sterling Silver Beads & Vermeil Necklace: This is a beautiful piece. The chain is very delicate gold color, and the three beads are a hammered silver, so they sparkle. I don't have many nice necklaces, so I decided this would be great for me! Kept.

So in the end, I kept the dress and the necklace, which look great together. At this rate, I will keep all five pieces once I get my 6th box! Let's hope not, because I don't need that many new things...
